Discernment for Hire was built on a simple premise: the mind you retain matters.
Information matters. Context matters. Expertise matters. But none of them
determine what deserves weight, what does not, what may be missing, or what
the available facts ultimately mean.
What is needed is a mind that can remain independent, understand context
deeply, distinguish what deserves weight, and exercise judgment when the
answer is not obvious.
DFH was born with that standard as law.
THE MIND BEHIND DFH WAS TRAINED BY BOTH SYSTEMS AND PEOPLE.
For more than eight years, Créole worked inside complex operations, learning
to move between the whole and the detail — and recognize when something small
was driving a much larger result.
For more than fifteen years, people have also sought out her perspective on
behavior, relationships, competing desires, and conflicting accounts.
DFH brings both forms of understanding into the same mind.
The company is Discernment for Hire. The counsel is Créole.
The better Créole knows a client, the more useful that context becomes.
Familiarity does not purchase agreement. She is retained
to remain candid, challenge what needs challenging, and form her own judgment.
DFH gives that depth a professional structure through standards, boundaries,
confidentiality, and obligations.
Depth can be personal without becoming informal.
Retain DFH
You do not need to arrive knowing the right question, where the problem
belongs, or which structure you need. Bring what brought you here.
Private clients may retain Créole through Private Consigliere, an annual relationship around the client and their world. Private clients and institutions may retain DFH through Bounded Private Consigliere around one defined situation. When judgment and counsel alone are what is needed, Limited Advisory remains deliberately narrower.
Start with the reality. DFH can determine what the work actually requires.
